美國國會大廈安裝了35台使用CO₂為冷媒的自動販賣機(R744）

35 new climate friendly Coca-Cola vending machines for the US Capitol buildings have been unveiled. Featuring natural refrigerant CO₂ that reduces direct greenhouse gas emissions by 99%, the machines support the ‘Green the Capitol’ programme, adding to the green options available to the members and staff of the US House of Representatives.

35台對氣候有益的Coca-Cola自動販賣機日前(2010年4月)在美國國會大廈揭幕。自然冷媒CO₂減少了99%直接的溫室氣體排放，為支持“綠色國會大廈”的項目，該機器被加入到環保行動中，供美國眾議院的成員及員工使用。

The CO₂ vending machines were unveiled on 28 April 2010 by House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, Dan Beard, House Chief Administrative Officer and leaders from The Coca-Cola Company.

這些CO₂自動販賣機在2010年4月28日，由眾議院多數黨領袖Steny Hoyer，眾議院首席行政官Dan Beard及Coca-Cola公司領導層揭幕。

The new hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) -free cooling technology will reduce indirect greenhouse gas emissions by more than five tons over the lifetime of the machine. “The next time a member of the House of Representatives reaches for a Coke, it will be from a greener vending machine”, reads the Coca-Cola press release.

新的無氯氟烴（HFC）冷卻科技將減少間接的溫室氣體排放，在一台機器使用壽命期內，可減少5噸以上。“下次，當一位眾議院成員走過來取可樂的時候，那將是從環保自動販賣機取出的。”Coca-Cola公司的新聞發布如是說。

Greening the Capitol綠化國會大廈
The CO₂ vending machines initiative is part of the ‘Green the Capitol’ programme, aiming to make the US House a model of sustainability for the country, through supporting the Members and agencies of the US House of Representatives through sustainable business practices, energy-efficient technologies and design and behavioural changes.

CO₂自動販賣機的啟動是“綠化國會大廈”項目的一部分，通過支持美國眾議院的成員和機構，通過持久的商務活動，節能科技，設計及行為改變，目的是使美國國會大廈成為美國可持續發展的典範。

"This new technology from Coca-Cola supports the spirit of the Green the Capitol programme and gives the House staff yet another green option. Through Coca-Cola's environmental efforts as well as our own, we are setting an example of the greener future we hope to achieve as a nation", said Chief Administrative Officer Beard.

“這項來自Coca-Cola新科技是國會大廈環保行動的精神，它給眾議院的人們提供了另一種環保選擇。通過Coca-Cola及我們自己對環境的努力，我們正在為綠色未來做典範，並希望全民都能如此。”眾議院首席行政官Dan Beard說道。

The initiative is also in harmony with Coke’s pledge to eliminate HFCs in all new vending machines and coolers by 2015, and their interim commitment of eliminating these gases from 50% of such equipment already by 2012.

這個計劃也同Coca-Cola的誓言一致，即到2015年，冷飲自動販賣機要全面消除HFCs,而在2012年前，他們的階段性目標是，要更換一半的設備採用CO₂(R744)冷媒。

Further climate friendly machines to be installed

After having supplied about 1,400 climate-friendly coolers and vending machines for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver , Canada ,  Coca-Cola North America will now focus on the US market, where it plans to install more than 400 HFC-free vending machines in different locations. 

在2010年加拿大溫哥華冬季奧運會期間，Coca-Cola北美公司對其供應了大約1400台CO₂環保冷藏櫃及自動販賣機。現在，該公司將把注意力轉移到美國市場上，計劃在美國各地安裝400台以上採用CO₂的自動販賣機。
